About Our School

South River High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Pride and tradition are deep rooted in our community. A recent school renovation updated the high school which opened in its present location in 1961. This modernized facility houses about 710 students who enjoy a wide range of course offerings delivered in an "A day" and "B day" block schedule.

Our students arrive at school each day prepared and ready to learn; committed to the development of habits that support success; are active participants in their own learning through self-reflection and self-improvement; and, recognize their individual role in the smooth operation of the classroom and the school. Students are given a voice with regards to course offerings, school operations, and social action.
